Using Sony A58
Camera should be set to MF (manual focus). Not at AF (automatic focus). If the camera is set to MF this means it'll be easy to control and you will be able to use the camera however you want. If you want specific shots like a push pull focus shot then putting the camera in automatic mode will be the best choice for you as you can manually change the focus.
This camera comes stock with a 18-55mm lense. It has a glass zoom, not optical with an angled screen which means the camera is easier to use when filming low or high angles.
