the exam
This trailer is for the film; The Exam. We liked the ideology of this film as it is about people being tested. We decided this idea of as test was something very interesting to base our trailer on. In this trailer there is a group of people preparing to begin an exam. There are a set of rules and these rules are explained to the group. After this explanation to the people in the trailer and furthermore the audience; you see how the group disintegrates and panics. This exam has become their worst nightmare and is looking to be the cause of their destruction.
We loved this idea with a group being torn apart by fear and the terror of demise. Our original idea was to incorporate this into our product. Yet it proved difficult to create an artificial environment with the capability of looking realistic and scary. We also saw that there were a lot more risks involved with this idea in the areas of danger and harm to people and this meant that the idea had flaws and big risks which we therefore decided were too difficult to eliminate, and consequently we chose to slightly change and adapt our idea.

would you rather
This trailer is from the film; Would You Rather. This is the second trailer we drew ideas from. This film is partly different from The Exam, as it includes a group of people again but instead of a test they have been forced to play a very sinister game of Would You Rather as the title would suggest. We saw this concept as being successful in our trailer. We took the idea of Hide and Seek, and Tag, and created our trailer as a classic stalk and slash film, in which the killer feels he is playing a game with his victims and these games are ending in their demise. This idea had clear correlation between the two trailers we looked at for influential backing. Our final project has the strong link to inference of a game, which is exactly what we were hoping for.
Our final product highlights the influences we had from other trailers.
